Dear Reader,
Welcome to the Meirafitness.com website. Here, we hope to keep you up todate with the latest
news in fitness training and physical health. To have a health body is to have a healthy mind.
The fitter your are the more energy you have and apparently the more mentally alert you will be.
Physical health is also important for reducing the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic type diseases later on in
life.
Moderate exercise does have associated physical health benefits and can improve health by
increasing bone density, lowering cholesterol, reducing the risks of type II diabetes, improving blood lipid
profile, increasing energy reserves, improving brain function and eliminating depression.
The right type of exercise with the correct intensity and duration combined with healthy foods
can cause weight loss over a period of time. For overweight individuals its is recommended a minimum 150 mins of
moderate exercise per week by various health organisations such as the World health Organisation (WHO).
For increases in fitness moderate to vigorous physical activity is required thee times per week
for around 50 minutes. However, single sessions of exercise can be broken down during the day to short multiple
bursts of exercise that research says has equal benefits.
This is particularly advantageous to people who lead very busy lives. It is possible to squeeze
in 10-15 miutes of exercise in tea breaks and lunch hours and increase the fitness at the same rate.
The whole aim of fitness, exercise, diets is to introduce exercise in to ones life gradually and
within the volumes that your body can tolerate. Everybody has different capabilities and physical excellence is not
required to be physically healthy.
It is important to start off any exercise or physical activity gently and gradually increase the
intensity or volume of exercise as the body adapts. The need to rest the body will be greater as the body attempts
to recover from physical exertion. Listen to what the body is saying and act accordingly and reduced body fat and
greater self confidence is assured.
